The film, The Other side of the lake is based on a short story by Jim called, Lost Love. He plays Joshua Carter the shopkeeper/smuggler in the film. The story was originally set in Kerry in Ireland but when a chance came for it to be made into a film, the setting was switched to Dorset in the UK. The story fitted in well with the history of Dorset.
