Dean's Advisory Council. The Dean's Advisory Council consists of leaders within many constituencies of the Washington College of Law, including the areas of law, academia, business and the community. Council members are some of the foremost advocates of the law school, and are motivated by a shared commitment to its continued success.
Our Areas of Focus. As in the other AUWCL clinics, the DRLC emphasizes each student's role as an attorney for his or her clients. Students have primary responsibility for handling all aspects of the client’s case, from initial interview through meetings (such as IEP meetings in special education cases) and any contested hearing or trial (and, if necessary, appeal).

Description. This course is designed to prepare students to practice trademark law in the U.S. We will cover all of the topics that a practitioner will encounter including non-traditional marks, distinctiveness, priority, registration, infringement, dilution, defenses, remedies, domain names, and right of publicity.
