The York Region District School Board provides adult learners a flexible approach to earning credits during the fall, winter, and summer through Online Learning. Online Learning courses are taught by YRDSB teachers using Ontario's Virtual Learning Environment-BrightSpace by D2L.
All secondary students must participate in the final summative assessment (s). These assessments make up the final evaluation representing 30 percent of your report card grade. You are expected to complete all final summative assessments at the place, date and time indicated by the teacher and by the examination schedule provided by the school.
The York Region District School Board, in partnership with local colleges, offers many dual credit courses for Grade 11 and 12 students . Students may earn credits towards the OSSD through courses delivered by publicly funded colleges in Ontario that are participating in the ministry-approved dual credit program.
