For the winter months I use about 3 gallons per day to heat my 1200 sq. Ft house (in Maine). With oil so cheap right now (1.50 a gallon) that equates to around $135 per month. We also use electric heat sparingly in 2 of our bedrooms. We keep the thermostat around 65 during the day and drop it to 56 at night.
