Dec 27, 2022 · Kijiji scammer. I posted something for sale on Kijiji Winnipeg and for the 1st time I let my phone # to be seen. Someone texted me asking me to e-mail them if the item was still available. I thought it was weird, they could have just asked through text or message me through Kijiji to ask if it was still available.

Oct 18, 2019 · I've using Kijiji in Winnipeg for around 6 years but experienced something like this before. I was selling my telescope on Kijiji this week. A lady approached me and ask for a discount for price and she mentioned that she is buying it for her daughter as a gift as her daughter is really fascinating with stats.
Most people I know are on kijiji primarily and use Facebook marketplace as a secondary market. Imo depends on what you’re buying/selling. Smaller household stuff, clothes, furniture, food, all seem to do much better on FB. But for vehicles, tools, equipment, I find Kijiji much better.

He explained it to me one day as I was frustrated selling items and people offered 50% or more off something that was already a great deal.
