Feb 27, 2024 · Yegane Moghaddam's animated short film Our Uniform depicts her personal journey from Iran to the US, where she fought the strict rules of Hijab and found her best self. The film mixes live-action, stop-motion, and 2D animation to express how clothes can define people and challenge authority.
This year, Our Uniform was the first to play, but just like last year, we were late and I missed most of this one. From what I saw, the animation was gorgeous, a really creative style that blended the significance of Muslim attire while also telling a young girls story on the fabric.
