Khaled Youssef (Arabic: خالد يوسف; born 28 September 1964) is an Egyptian director and film writer. His films are noted for their use of improvisation and a realistic cinéma vérité style. In a career spanning more than three decades, Youssef's films have encompassed many themes and genres.
Khaled Youssef is a prominent figure in Arab cinema, known for his social and political films such as "Hena Mysara", "Dokan Shehata" and "Kalemni Shokan". He also participated in the 25 January and 30 June revolutions in Egypt and photographed them from a military aircraft.
