Mar 5, 2007 · John Sinno's open letter to the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences is worth a read, so I'm posting it below. Sinno was one of the producers of James Longley's Iraq in Fragments, a documentary full of poetry and ambiguity -- uncommon virtues for such a political film.
John Sinno is known for Iraq in Fragments (2006), ZMD: Zombies of Mass Destruction (2009) and My Name Is Smith (2010).

Below is an open letter (dated March 2) that producer John Sinno sent to the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. Sinno co-produced James Longley’s Iraq War disaster nonfiction effort Iraq in Fragments, which earlier this year was nominated for an Academy Award in the best documentary feature category.
