The Adventures of Tintin (also known as The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn) is a 2011 animated epic action-adventure film based on Hergé's comic book series of the same name. It was directed by Steven Spielberg, who produced the film with Peter Jackson and Kathleen Kennedy.
Tintin, with the help of his dog Milú, Captain Haddock and a group of children, tries to find the whereabouts of professor Tornasol and a Spanish colleague, who have been kidnapped in Spain after finding a solution to world hunger.
The Adventures of Tintin (Les aventures de Tintin) (1991–92) was the more successful Tintin television series. An adaptation of twenty-one Tintin books, it was directed by Stéphane Bernasconi and was produced by Ellipse (France) and Canadian Nelvana on behalf of the Hergé Foundation.

Dec 20, 2011 · "The Adventures of Tintin" is an ambitious and lively caper, miles smarter than your average 3-D family film (how can any thinking person want to see one Chipmunks movie, let alone three?). It plays fair with Spielberg (who received Hergé's blessing before his death in 1983).
