Adam Baroukh is an Iraqi-Jewish screenwriter and director based in London and New York. His stories often include spiritual and religious themes, crises of identity, clashes of ancient and contemporary culture, and elements of mystery and dark comedy.
Adam’s first written project Just Desserts (2015) starring Alex MacQueen won the Discovery Award at the London Comedy Festival and was picked up for distribution by Amazon Prime. Turning the lens upon his own community, Adam set his next film The Outer Circle (2018) within London’s Iraqi diaspora.

Adam is developing his first feature-length project ‘The Descent of Man’ through the Columbia University Screenwriting and Directing MFA programme on a BAFTA scholarship. In his spare time Adam brews kombucha and gives his friends unsolicited life advice.
