In the Zugsmith-directed Psychopathia Sexualis aka On Her Bed of Roses (1966), a nymphomaniac falls in love with an impotent mama’s boy/mass murderer. In Touch of Evil , fat, alcoholic Hank Quinlan (Welles) compulsively reenacts the murder of his wife, using Akim Tamiroff’s character as a surrogate!

Between 1956 and 1958, he produced several films, among them Jack Arnold’s The Incredible Shrinking Man, Douglas Sirk’s Written on the Wind and The Tarnished Angels, and Orson Welles’s Touch of Evil.
