Cesare Zavattini (20 September 1902 – 13 October 1989) was an Italian screenwriter and one of the first theorists and proponents of the Neorealist movement in Italian cinema.
Cesare Zavattini was an Italian screenwriter, poet, painter, and novelist, known as a leading exponent of Italian Neorealism. Born into a humble family, Zavattini completed a law degree at the University of Parma and began a career in journalism and publishing. He wrote two successful comic.
