    Clarence Edward Hatton (1888–1931) American Actor, Writer and Director. Veteran stuntman Yakima Canutt often doubled Hatton in his westerns, and didn't think much of his "cowboy" abilities. In his autobiography, Canutt said, "There were only three things Dick Hatton was afraid of - horses, guns and the outdoors."  He was killed in a road accident on Jul 9, 1931 while he was living in Los Angeles, California.
