    Tokuma Nishioka is an actor who portrays Toda Hiromatsu in the FX limited series, Shōgun.

    Tokuma Nishioka is a veteran Japanese actor from Yokohama whose career in film, television and theater has spanned more than 50 years. In 1970, Nichioka joined the prestigious Bungakuza Theater Group, where he played many lead roles until he left in 1979. In 1989, at age 40, he played a lead role in Bakumatsujunjoden, a play directed by Kohei Tsuka. The success led to other highly acclaimed roles in theater, including Hamlet and Tenpou 12 Nen no Shakespeare directed by Yukio Ninagawa.

    Nishioka rose to fame for his appearance in Tokyo Love Story, which was a hugely popular TV series across East Asia in 1991. He continues to be prolific in TV, films, theater as well as comedic variety shows. Recent credits include Metal Macbeth Disc One (theater), Queen Elizabeth (theater), Gakyoujinn Hakusai (theater), Sanhjuro (feature) and Sekigahara (feature).
