Paul Douglas Westphal (November 30, 1950 – January 2, 2021) was an American basketball player and coach. Westphal played in the National Basketball Association (NBA) from 1972 to 1984. Playing the guard position, he won an NBA championship with the Boston Celtics in 1974 .
Paul Westphal was a shooting guard and point guard for the Boston Celtics and the Phoenix Suns from 1972 to 1983. He won the NBA championship in 1974, was a five-time All-Star, and was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2019.
