Kaylee Rochelle McKeown OAM (born 12 July 2001) is an Australian swimmer and triple Olympic gold medalist. She is the world record holder in the long course 50 metre backstroke and both the long course and short course 200 metre backstroke.

- Strong family sporting genes. Kaylee isn’t the only one with strong aquatic DNA in her family. Her talented older sister Taylor also represents Australia, and won 200m breaststroke gold at the 2015 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.
- Succeeding with asthma. As well as being blessed with athletic talent, they also both suffer from asthma. The McKeowns were diagnosed with the breathing condition at a young age, but through education and a well-managed medication programme, it has amazingly never hindered their athletic ability.
- Motivated by family tragedy. Kaylee McKeown’s achievements in the pool over the past few years have been astonishing, given the heartache she has also had to process.
- Unique 17-day training cycles. Most swimmers will tell you that taking four days out of the pool is akin to sacrilege, as it only takes 48 hours to lose their feel for the water.

Australian swimmer Kaylee McKeown completed a sweep of the backstroke events at the World Aquatics Championships 2023, becoming only the second person to achieve this feat in history. She beat Regan Smith and Peng Xuwei in the 200m final, adding to her titles in the 50m and 100m.

Oct 21, 2023 · Australian swimmer Kaylee McKeown became the second swimmer and first woman to hold the world record in the 50m, 100m and 200m backstroke in an Olympic-size pool. She broke the 50m record in Budapest and the 100m record for a second time in 2023.

Kaylee McKeown is a versatile swimmer who won three gold medals at Tokyo 2020 in the 100m and 200m backstroke and the 4x100m medley. She also holds the world record in the 100m backstroke and won the 200m IM silver at the 2022 World Championships.
