Select a Service. To become a member and open an account with Vancity, you must be a BC resident, have a social insurance number (SIN) and be ready to deposit $5 at account opening for member shares. If you meet the three requirements, choose a time to get your account setup started. Please bring either cash or a cheque to deposit your $5 shares.
You’ll earn: 1 point for every $1 on office supplies 1. 2.5 points for every $1 spent on public transit, buses, ferries, taxi, rail and parking 1. 0.5 points for every $1 spent on all other purchases. 1,000 bonus points when you spend $1,000 or more in each statement period ($10 rewards value) 3. Extended warranty and purchase security insurance.
