Bi-Lo was an Australian supermarket chain owned by Wesfarmers. Once a chain of 180 outlets, Bi-Lo stores were progressively re-branded as Coles Supermarkets from 2006, or closed. On 30 June 2017, the final store in Shailer Park, Queensland closed.
Mar 16, 2023 · Most Bi-Lo stores rebranded as Coles but a few remained trading under the Bi-Lo brand as late as 2017 mainly for contractual reasons with shopping centres. But at that point they had long been operated by Coles Supermarkets Australia Pty Ltd, with Coles employees and Coles products and pricing.

Feb 13, 2023 · Used to work for Bi-Lo, was the budget chain of Coles. In the early 2000s Coles management realised Coles stores were more profitable and had the great idea that if they made Bi-Los into Coles they would get more profit across the board.
By 1987, BI-LO was operating 28 supermarkets in South Australia and generating one third of metropolitan Adelaide’s supermarket sales, when it was acquired by Coles Myer, which also purchased the 34-store Shoeys discount supermarket chain in New South Wales (subsequently renamed as BI-LO).
