Fayez Rashid Ahmed Hassan al-Qadi Banihammad (who used many aliases but is mainly known as Fayez Banihammad) was born on 19 March, 1977. He was allegedly the son of a school principal, [3] and grew up in the Khor Fakkan region of the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The hijackers on Flight 175 included Fayez Banihammad, also from the UAE, and three Saudis: brothers Hamza and Ahmed al-Ghamdi, as well as Mohand al-Shehri. [3] [4] The hijackers were trained at an al-Qaeda camp called Mes Aynak in Kabul , Afghanistan, where they learned about weapons and explosives, followed by training in Karachi , Pakistan, where they learned about "Western culture and travel".
