Matthew Hoffman Weiner (/ ˈ w aɪ n ər /; born June 29, 1965) is an American television writer, producer, and director best known as the creator and showrunner of the television series Mad Men, and as a writer and executive producer on The Sopranos.
Matthew Weiner is an American TV showrunner and creator of Mad Men (2007), The Sopranos (1999) and The Romanoffs (2018). He was born in Baltimore, Maryland, in 1965 and has won nine Primetime Emmys for his work.
