The Department of Graphic Arts has been providing undergraduate and graduate education since its establishment in 1983. It is the most popular department in the visual arts group of Dokuz Eylül University Faculty of Fine Arts.
Sculpture is included in the Department of Formal Arts, one of the three departments. When the Faculty of Fine Arts was affiliated to Dokuz Eylül University on 20 July 1982 with the Decree Law No. 41, the Sculpture Department took its current name.
Since 1983, the Department of Graphic Arts has been continuing its undergraduate and postgraduate education. This is the most popular department of Dokuz Eylul University within the Faculty of Fine Arts’ plastic arts group.
In 2012, the museum hosted Dokuz Eylül University’s Faculty of Fine Arts from İzmir. The faculty, comprised of a wide range of departments, carries the additional distinction of being the first university faculty of fine arts in Turkey.

Since its inauguration, Pera Museum has been instrumental in promoting young artists and institutions of art education by opening its exhibition floors during the summer months. In 2012, the Museum hosted Dokuz Eylül University’s Faculty of Fine Arts from İzmir.
