Atticus Matthew Cowper Ross (born 16 January 1968) is an English musician, record producer, composer, and audio engineer. Along with Trent Reznor, he won the Academy Award for Best Original Score for The Social Network in 2010.

Alongside his wife Mariqueen Maandig and long-time Nine Inch Nails collaborators Atticus Ross and Rob Sheridan, he formed the post-industrial group How to Destroy Angels in 2009. Beginning in 2010, Reznor, alongside Atticus Ross, began to work on film and television scores.
- Bird Box. It's generally hard to rank the work of the duo, given how exceptional most of their output tends to be. However, fans can clearly that this is some of their most uninteresting work.
- Mid90s. One of their shorter works, clocking in at only 12 minutes, their work for Jonah Hill's Mid90s is a little bit sweeter than expected from a duo that tends to work on films steeped in atmosphere and dread.
- Patriots Day. Reznor and Ross's work on the Boston Marathon Bombing film maintains the perfect level of clock-ticking anxiety and unease that matches very well with the thriller, without ever coming across as overbearing or cliché.
- Waves. Very rarely would a 22-minute song sound like something anyone would actually want to listen to, but somehow the two make the track "Wounds Heal," a standout piece in an already great score.
- The Social Network (2010) It feels slightly unfair to stick Reznor and Ross’s first effort at Number One, with its placing suggesting that they’ve never bettered it.
- Watchmen (2019) A very, very close second. Damon Lindelof’s Watchmen series was whipsmart and on-edge and Reznor and Ross came up with a soundtrack to match.
- Soul (2020) It seemed like a sign at how influential Reznor and Ross’s soundtracks had become when even blockbuster animation studio Pixar were aping them… and then you checked the credits and realised it was them.
- The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo (2011) It’s hard to think of any duo better placed to soundtrack a film set in the winter of all winters about a serial killer, sexual depravity and torture.
