30 Days of Night: Dust to Dust. When Sara, a prison nurse, assists in the transfer of convicted murderer George, a vampire descends on Orleans County Penitentiary. Her brother Nick, an ex-cop, ignores the wishes of his former partner, Gina, and sets off to find Sara.
Sara Maguire is a nurse at a prison. When she and three guards are transferring George, a convicted murder, the group is attacked by a vampire. The prisoner escapes while the vampire manages to kill the guards and slit Sara's throat. Sara manages to escape while bleeding, realizing that she is turning into a vampire.
30 Days of Night: Dust to Dust (2008) One month after the horrific massacre in Alaska, George Fowler is ruled a convicted murderer and sentenced to prison. Though he tries to warn others about the reality of vampires, they question his sanity.
Detective Nick Maguire learns that his sister Sara, a nurse at the local penitentiary, disappeared during a mysterious prison break in which George escaped. While scouring the gritty streets of New Orleans, Nick finds George and learns that there was more to the prison break than anyone thought.
