Jul 31, 2007 · Formula 1 champions Renault have announced a $50 million long-term investment in technology after a poor season by their standards which has seen them slip a long way behind the two main 2007 title rivals. Renault have said the investment would help build a new computational fluid dynamics (CFD) facility at their factory in Enstone.

Sep 22, 2010 · Jack Whileblood was an engineer who drove and managed the F1 shock absorber truck for Armstrong. He did have a bad accident but it was not as a F1 test driver--as I recall it was while returning to England after a race. I was with Firestone Racing from 1972-74 and got to know him quite well. Of course, so did everyone who ever met him!

The FIA has unveiled the provisional calendar for the 2009 season, confirming the arrival of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix and the absence of a race in the United States. The season will begin again in Australia in late March and will finish in Abu Dhabi in November. The calendar will have 19 races, one more than this year.
