I’d like to open the Bonus Saver account (4.10% AER if no more than 3 withdrawals are made within the 12-month term) and have a few questions: 1. I already have a credit card with Halifax.

Jan 21, 2023 · That's odd - I've had Halifax accounts for years but the only fixed rate accounts advailable to me via the app are 2.8% for 1 year and 3.1% for 2 years. Edit - looks like you need a Halifax current account, judging by the post above.
Oct 18, 2023 · Hi, I just made an overpayment on my Halifax mortgage for the first time. At Nationwide it was very simply reduce the term, or reduce the monthly payment. By default Halifax does neither. I tried calling to ask what happens if I don't choose one of these methods and I could not really understand what they said, something about reduced interest..

I was looking to settle this loan early, and when I use their early closure calculator it says if I settle early the figure is £16133 saving £1650 on interest. Jul 16, 2020 · In 2020, you can pay off 10% of the remaining balance on 1/1/2020, and then in 2021, you can pay off 10% again (but of the remaining balance as of 1/1/2021). You can also contact Halifax to ask what exactly your overpayment allowance for this year is. Original mortgage: December 2017, £203,495. MFW start: April 2018, £201,800.
May 23, 2010 · To order online, log in, go to the specific account and select "Tax Information" from the left hand menu. If you "Request tax information" this will give you the numbers that you want to play with, but won't provide the tax certificate. Select "Request Tax Certificate" for that! May 11, 2023 · The best thing to do is to report this asap - it sounds as if Halifax definitely need to tighten up their security measures - and if they say they'll have to block or freeze your card, just explain your situation to them and tell them that you need immediate access to funds.
