  2. Jun 24, 2020 · School Bus Ontario (SBO) in partnership with the Ministry of Education is pleased to announce that the Driver Retention Program has been extended into the 2022/23 school year.   3. The purpose of the DRP is to enhance school bus driver recruitment and retention rates by providing a financial incentive for school bus drivers to stay on the job throughout the school year.

  4. May 11, 2021 · The DRP program provides eligible school bus drivers up to $2,000 based on continuous employment in the school year. As of May 6th, 2021, all eligible education staff province-wide are eligible to register for vaccination appointments.

  5. Eligible school bus drivers could receive up to two separate retention bonuses of up to $1,000 (less applicable taxes) each, based on continuous employment over two periods between September to December 2021 and January to June 2022.
