I like to visit the "Fahnestock Winter Park" for cross-country skiing. This is the only park I know of in the area that: a) has groomed trails, for both classic and skate skiing. b) offers ski and equipment rentals. c) prohibits walkers and dogs, so the trails don't get messed up.
