Mar 19, 2024 · In that spirit, the new logo features elements that are distinct to Norwich: the typeface is inspired by lettering on buildings and signs around campus; the familiar maroon; the cavalry sabers from cadets’ dress-uniform pins; and the year Norwich first opened its doors to the eager citizens prepared to make a difference.
The design system includes a unique, highly distinctive custom-built typeface from North designer and Norwich University of the Arts alumnus Jonathan Leonard. “The new identity poses questions about the fusion of traditional and digital art forms,” noted Leonard.
