Robert Kane ( né Kahn / kɑːn /; October 24, 1915 – November 3, 1998) was an American comic book writer, animator and artist who co-created Batman (with Bill Finger) and most early related characters for DC Comics.
Kane was a talented artist and began his career in comics at a young age, illustrating for various publishers before co-creating Batman. Kane was a strong advocate for creators' rights in the comic book industry and fought for better recognition and compensation for artists and writers.
