In the mid-80s, Disney sought to break their child-friendly animated movies mold by incorporating dark fantasy and horror elements into their animated films. One of the results was The Black Cauldron, an oppressive offering which, though critically lauded, bombed at the box office. Years later, however, it has been revived as something of a cult cl...

Telling the tale of a rogue warrior embarking on a grand quest, the Berserk manga series and its 1997 anime adaptation were hugely influential to FromSoftware during the development of the Dark Souls games. 7. Dec 25, 2020 · Despite feeling like rather minor Pixar overall, "Soul" will prove to be of historical interest because, despite the transformation issue, and when it isn't getting wrapped up in goofy afterlife shenanigans, it's the most unapologetically Black Pixar project yet released.
