Michael recently made his principal artist debut with Des Moines Metro Opera for the company’s 50th anniversary season, appearing as Francis Flute in Britten’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream; a performance in which he was praised for his “fresh and attractive lyric tenor” (Opera Today).
Michael Kahn’s stunning seascape and spectacular sailing photographs, created with traditional black and white film, are available as handmade darkoom photographs size 14×14″ and 19×19″ and fine art pigment prints in custom sizes from 24×24″ to 56×56″.
Painting professionally for almost 40 years, Michael is still inspired by working vessels and BC’s unique coastal scenes. Currently painting in oils and watercolours he is available for private commissions.
