Largely loyal to the 2018 highly-acclaimed thriller of the same name, “The Guilty” will offend some cinephiles with its very existence. “Just see the original,” they will shout, basically ending all conversation about the remake with the accusation that it should have never happened.

The premise of the film is decent. Its a drug trial based on sleep deprivation, 4 teens from the same College sign up with the lure of large sums of money, ( for a young Thai person ). The opportunity to explore these ideas were however wasted. It soon became a teen drama full of stereotypes and movie tropes.

Aug 12, 2021 · Deep (2021) is a Netflix sci-fi thriller, shot and produced in Thailand and later released on the streaming service on 16th July. It has an intriguing premise with a rather sloppy execution, resulting in a semi entertaining experience which could have been improved with more ambitious screenplay and developed characters.
