I have lived in Estill County all of my life, growing up on a farm on Winchester Road area. I have had the honor of serving our community as an educator for 20 years before retiring in 2015. (Eight years and 6th grade math teacher, six years as 21st Century After School Coordinator and Math Interventionists, and six years as District Gifted and Talented Coordinator.)
