Review. Short and bittersweet, Kai Doh Maru is an interesting, stylized look at feudal Japan with excellent animation and wonderful use of CG compositing.

Oct 11, 2020 · Kai Doh Maru (Kaidōmaru) 2001. I got the sense that Kai Doh Maru (and its focus on incorporating CGI into the storytelling) was somewhat connected to the same Production IG approach and era that included Blood: The Last Vampire.
Kai Doh Maru (怪童丸, Kaidōmaru) is an original video animation (OVA) anime directed by Kanji Wakabayashi and produced by Production I.G. and SME Visual Works. It was released on December 19, 2001 in Japan and on July 29, 2003 in the United States by Manga Entertainment.
