    —Channel Description

    Defy Media (2012-2018)

The first video was uploaded September 26, 2012, titled Zombies, Assassins, and DLC. Videos used to be posted on the channel twice a day, nearly every day, which was eventually trimmed down to once a day. In October 2014, Wesley "Wes" Johnson and Amra "Flitz" Ricketts were added to the official cast. The newest members, Ericka "Boze" Bozeman and Damien Haas were added in early to mid-2017. On August 5, 2017, Lasercorn and Sohinki both announced they would be "leaving" Smosh Games to become hosts of a new gaming channel, ToasterGhost. They did not leave the crew as a whole, as they still appeared in Smosh Games videos on an occasional basis. On January 4, 2018, Flitz announced that he was leaving Smosh Games starting immediately due to sexual assault allegations. On November 7, 2018, it was announced that no more videos will likely be uploaded to the channel due to Smosh’s parent company Defy Media shutting down. However, the video Smosh is Homeless revealed that the unreleased episodes of Smosh & Order, Grand Theft Smosh, and Board AF would be released. These videos were released every Saturday since November 17, 2018 until December 29 2018 and no Board AF episodes were released in this time. On January 12, Boze confirmed on Twitter that she would not be returning to YouTube or Twitch, instead choosing to change careers.

    Mythical Entertainment (2019-present)

On February 22, 2019, the video The rumors are true... WE FOUND A HOME! was released, announcing that Smosh had been bought by Rhett & Link and was now a part of Mythical Entertainment. As a part of this announcement, it was confirmed that Smosh Games would be returning alongside the other main Smosh Channels. On April 3, 2019, the seventh episode of SmoshCast, and the highlight clip released on Smosh Pit confirmed that Smosh Games would return on April 10, 2019. It was confirmed that Lasercorn and Mari were returning to Smosh Games and that both Smosh and Smosh Games would work closely together, sharing cast members across multiple Smosh Channels. The first video was released on April 10, 2019 called OUR NEW STUDIO TOUR, with the first gaming video released on April 12, 2019 called Fatality Showdown! - Mortal Kombat 11. On April 10, 2019, Jovenshire confirmed in the comments of a video on his personal channel that he, Sohinki and Wes would not be returning to Smosh Games as full-time members, with their status being officially confirmed as part-time in the eleventh episode of SmoshCast on May 1, 2019.
