  2. Ideas for wastelands/deadlands? The setting for the campaign I'm working on for my group is one of a post apocalyptic event, high magic and highish tech. This apocalyptic event resulted in the death, and in some instances mutation of a large portion of organic beings. Residual corrupt magic/radiation permeated the land leaving it barren.

    The Wasteland is not a nation, but rather an enormous swath of land in which very little manages to grow. 5,700 years ago, the nation of Zora realized that it was in a losing war, and to counter this they blasted the world with raw energy in all directions.     No pantheons of gods exist here, and none would dare to enter. The souls of the dead are damned as no one will claim them, leaving them to wonder the Wasteland until put at peace by their own descendents. Though many here might pray to a random god or power, no answers are heard and none are expected.

    The few mortals that exist here care nothing about race or gender. Survival is the only thing that matters, and for that, one must be useful. Be they orc, goblin, elf, human, tiefling, or anything else, the small tribes care not, only that they are not a drain on precious resources.

    Due to the tribal nature of those that live in the Wastelands, few have any idea what is happening outside of their tribe.
