    • Hitman: World Of Assassination. Taking our number one spot is the collective culmination of the World of Assassination trilogy. Hitman: World of Assassination is an odd one because, in 2023, developer IO Interactive decided to merge Hitman and Hitman 2 together with Hitman 3.
    • Hitman 2. The predecessor of the above, Hitman 2, was released in 2018, continuing the story that started in 2016’s Hitman. In this game, players control Agent 47 as he searches for a mysterious client who wants to destroy The Providence.
    • Hitman 3. Hitman 3 was released in 2021 as the eighth game in the mainline series, and it follows Agent 47 as he hunts down the leaders of The Providence.
    • Hitman (2016) The 2016 release of Hitman debuted episodically from March until October 2016, and it is comprised of six interconnected episodes. A bit of a soft reboot, Hitman takes players around the world to a large number of open-ended sandboxes.

    • Hitman: Absolution. Hitman: Absolution was a rather late sequel to the very popular 2006 entry Hitman: Blood Money. Fans had to wait six years to play as Agent 47 once more.
    • Hitman Go. The third and final mobile title, Hitman Go, shifted the series formula like Hitman: Sniper did. With its unique aesthetic, Hitman Go is presented as a board game.
    • Hitman: Blood Money (2006) Blood Money is to Contracts, what Hitman 2 (2018) is to Hitman (2016). Blood Money mastered the gameplay and plot elements of the previous title, much like Hitman 2 does, yet it also manages to expand upon these elements and provide even more to do.
    • Hitman 2 (2018) Hitman 2 is a finely-tuned game, delivering on the promise of Hitman, the previous episodic entry in the series. It provides for the same level of accessibility in gameplay design, without the episodic release schedule to hold it back.
    • Hitman (2016) The game simply titled Hitman, proved to be the return to form that the series needed after the misstep that had been Absolution. After listening to fan feedback regarding the previous installment, IO decided to move their next attempt into the form of an episodic series.
    • Hitman 2: Silent Assassin (2002) The second entry, Silent Assassin, is really what got the series moving, in both its popularity and hitting a stride in terms of the styles of gameplay available to the player.
