The system includes 644 provincial parks, 2 recreation areas, 156 conservancies, 84 protected areas, and 148 ecological reserves. Four provincial parks are designated UNESCO World Heritage Sites, while 24 provincial parks are designated UNESCO Biosphere Reserves.

Mar 16, 2022 · As we recently announced, amidst a new approach to the digital experience at BC Parks, we have streamlined the reservations process by having everything accessible from bcparks.ca – no more separate “Discover Camping” – you’ll now be welcomed to BC Parks’ reservation service at camping.bcparks.ca.
Day-use passes are required at some popular BC Parks during the summer and winter seasons. Reserving a pass helps us manage the number of park visitors, so we can protect the park and you can have a better visiting experience.
