In 2174, the natural resources of Earth are exhausted and the spacecraft Elysium is launched to the planet Tanis in the last hope of mankind. Due to the long travel, the crew-members are divided in teams that travel in extended hyper-sleep, rotating in shifts along the trip.

Pandorum is an amazingly original and crafty sci-fi/horror film. The premise is well thought out and the script delivers bang on from the opening scene to the end. This movie grabs you like a vice right from the start, and never releases until the final credits.
Milloy's script was set on a prison ship transporting hardcore criminals to another planet, while Alvart's screenplay was about four amnesic astronaunts aboard a settlers' ship. When the two scripts were merged, the story became Pandorum.
Frightening & Intense Scenes. Severe 22 of 27 found this severe. The many deaths throughout the film are difficult to watch. The entire movie is very frantic, disturbing and scary, and contains several frightening and jumpy scenes, many set in dark and/or narrow places.
Antje Traue. Actress: Man of Steel. With a strong body of work in her native Germany, Antje broke out into the international marketplace in Zack Snyder's Superman retelling, "Man of Steel" as the villainess, "Faora".
'Pandorum' is the first film in a proposed trilogy, but it is doubtful the sequels will ever see the light of day due to the first film's low box-office performance.
