  1. Oct 23, 2019 · Yes, I think your description of Sabine Hossenfelder is quite accurate. I liked the way she covered topics such as the "quantum eraser experiment" and "the bomb experiment". I'm somewhat critical of string theory, myself. With its lack of testability, I consider it more hypothesis than theory. However, I also found her attacks on it over the top.

  2. Aug 2, 2023 · Clearly, you are triggered by any criticism of Sabine Hossenfelder and are solely looking to argue. It is not that serious. She put herself into the public forum. She made herself and her OPINIONS available for public criticism. Educator and science communicator are a distinction without a difference. They are serving the same purpose.

  3. Jul 12, 2020 · Sabine Hossenfelder is an author and theoretical physicist who researches quantum gravity. She is a Research Fellow at the Frankfurt Institute for Advanced Studies where she leads the Analog Systems for Gravity Duals group. Sabine summarizes "what we know" and what it means to have a "Theory of Everything." Then she says the following:

  4. May 11, 2023 · However, Hossenfelder's idea of what constitutes "strong theoretical justification" or simply "making up particles" is pretty heavily disputed, which isn't really apparent to the casual viewer. Basically, I think she can think what she wants, but as a science communicator needs to draw a clearer distinction between her own personal views and the established consensus.

  6. May 22, 2022 · Sabine's videos are wonderful. She communicates complex physics concepts in a way that anyone can grasp without dumbing everything down to a mind numbingly boring level. It's clear that she has some strong opinions on some controversial topics (e.g. building every larger colliders) but who doesn't?

  7. Jun 11, 2023 · The problem I see over and over again with Sabine Hossenfelder is that she veers out of her lane as a scientist, and very badly. She is a particle physicist. A very difficult, poorly paid (relative to the gravity of the discoveries that can be made), and esoteric job that requires a brilliant mind.

We seek to deepen our understanding of ...

  9. Nov 20, 2023 · Sabine Hossenfelder is the Richard Dawkins of physics with a 10-15 year delay. Like eeriely similar. Like both of them, they are legit in their fields but sometimes tend to be edgy but are drifting similarly. They can be inspirational and thought provoking (I have Dawkins books from the 2000s).

  10. Jun 4, 2022 · Sabine on Trans Athletes. I'm subscribed to Sabine Hossenfelder, a famous physicist and youtuber, and have come to trust her for an unmatched degree of unbiased lucidity with all things science. I'm in research myself and I consider her to be a genius, which is a conclusion I came to only after she gave an in-person talk at my lab.
