The Family Stone judges Meredith for being judgmental and yet, they were being judgmental of her from day one and the film doesn't recover from it because it refuses to acknowledge how wrong the family is for doing what they are accusing Meredith of. The infamous dinner scene which has Meredith misspeaking.

I truly believe Sly and The Family Stone are the greatest to have ever done it in music. After listening to many Sly and The Family Stone records during their peak from 1968-1973, I truly believe he's the best to have ever done it, I know this is all going to be subjective. But hear me out.
