Mar 31, 2007 · I've only heard the expression 'she's easy' to refer to a woman who makes it easy for men to sleep with her. I don't think I've ever heard 'he's easy', although I can imagine that it may have used to describe a man who is gullible and easily swindled/easy to make fun of, but only BEFORE the word 'easy' became associated with a woman.
Aug 27, 2008 · I've just finished watching the last episode of Twin Peaks, and the sheriff says to Coop, 'Take her easy now!', and I was wondering why he didn't say 'Take it easy now'. There are many more hits of 'Take it easy now', about 35,600, compared to about 600 for 'Take her easy now' on the Internet, half of which seems to belong to a classic posted on the Web ( Open Boa t by Stephen Crane).

Nov 22, 2007 · This is a manner of speaking. You can choose to say no easy task or not an easy task. It is your choice, though I think saying no easy task gives more emphasis to how difficult the task really is.
May 12, 2008 · The other phrase is "as easy as pie", by the way, not "pies". I am not sure why or how these phrases originated, but an internet search brings up many discussions of this topic on other sites. This, for example, gives a couple of possible explanations for the two phrases:

Nov 1, 2016 · "The box is easy to carry" means that carrying the box is, or will be, easy. The box plays the role of logical direct object of "to carry". But "To be carried" does not take a direct object, and "to be carried" does not complement "easy". In, for example, "His yoke is easy, and his burden light", "easy" means "easy to bear"/"easy to live with".
