And then there were those like Lockhart (as well as the guy next to her on the couch). The latter were at the forefront of acceptance. Liked her as Maureen Robinson.

He delivered DL-level snark about Gene Tierney in his DVD commentary to Leave Her to Heaven--but without the wit or eloquence.

Oct 6, 2022 · Even as a kid of 8, 9 and 10, I could tell the writers were running out of ideas. Both Petticoat Junction and Green Acres ran a season too long. Final season should have been a year earlier for both. Green Acres added the little girl Lori and Petticoat Junction added June Lockhart. Both should have been canceled before either arrived.

Reading my mother's movie magazines back in the late 60s-early 70s, I distinctly recall a tiny scandal about June Lockhart, the mom on "Lost in Space," dating a young, Jesus-haired hippie. She was in her 40s or 50s and had probably teenage kids at that point.
