Peter Aalbæk Jensen (born 8 April 1956 in Osted) is a Danish film producer who in 1992 with director Lars von Trier founded the Danish film company Zentropa and later its huge studio complex Filmbyen.

Peter Aalbæk Jensen was born on 8 April 1956 in Denmark. He is a producer and actor, known for Department Q: The Absent One (2014), Breaking the Waves (1996) and Department Q: The Keeper of Lost Causes (2013). He has been married to Lise Palm since 17 September 1983.

Born 8/4 1956. Graduated as a producer from the National Film School of Denmark in 1987. Aalbæk is the co-founder and former CEO of Zentropa. Aalbæk Jensen made his feature film debut as a producer with 'Europa' (1991), which marked the beginning of his lifelong collaboration with Lars von Trier.
