ADMIN MOD • Redcat Volcano 16, no throttle, steering works Any idea what broke on my Volcano? It steers fine and the blue light blinks when i use forward/reverse throttle, but the wheels dont turn.
Redcat has a pretty bad reputation among the "serious" crawling community. A few reviews of the Ascent and the Ascent Fusion point out how terribly engineered the front axle layout is. Panhard bar mounts on the wrong side, the upper link is on the wrong side without room to correct it, limited front shock travel to compensate for poor geometry etc.
Oct 20, 2021 · My Kraton EXB was trash too though, the brittle body for the REDCAT, WD40, let it soak up. Arrma comes with lose screws and bolts, and diffs not shimmed, so when you buy it do a soft teardown. Check everything out and make your own decisions. Best quality control of all my R/C's has been Traxxas so far.
Out of the box stock direct comparison of them the redcat wins at everything except for scale/ style points (I’m a sucker for hardbodies). Literally bought my bronco maybe two months ago and sunk a good chunk of cash into it, if I would have known the little ascent was coming out I may have made a different choice haha.
2. Reply. Award. RoadsideRC. • 5 mo. ago. I have a lot of experience with the RDS, and other chassis. It does great. It is a great value for what you pay for as well. 100% would recommend it. Parts are super easy to get (everything is directly on Redcat's website) and the parts are CHEAP.
May 12, 2021 · You "can" with the proper redcat diagonal, but I don't know why you would want to. The focal length is too small for planets and the aperture is too small for deep sky observation, its going to be extremely underwhelming, it will be like looking through a finder scope (an $800 finderscope).

Mar 31, 2024 · And the body is from RedCat Racing blue 1/10. I have some Axial Solid Axle Dogbone 6x73.5mm (2), AXIC1472 front and rear I ordered 2 sets. Will the redcat or the axial ar44 dog bones work with the redcat cups? Or can I use the scx10 cups?

Jul 29, 2020 · The Sharpstar 61 EDPH II is better while being cheaper. The RedCat offers zero meaningful advantages over the Sharpstar. It has a bahtinov mask - Those are literally $20 from eBay, or Amazon, or free DIY. The dovetail bar is longer and shinier - You can just buy one from eBay or Amazon for $20-40.
