At the senior high school level, all English courses maintain high standards to meet graduation requirements and further develop listening, speaking, reading, writing, viewing and representing skills. Students generally take the prerequisite in a course sequence; e.g. English Language Arts 10-1, 20-1, 30-1. This route is designated by solid arrows.

Religious Studies is an integral part of Saint Francis High School. All students are required to enroll in a Religious Studies course in each year of their high school program. Credits in all three courses are a requirement for participation in graduation ceremonies from Saint Francis High School.
Students at Saint Francis have been assigned a counsellor according to TA Groupings: Planning, post-secondary information, schedule changes, scholarships, registration, crisis counselling…the list goes on.
The Advanced Placement (AP) program is a cooperative educational endeavour between high schools and universities. AP courses allow high school students to experience university-level academic learning in addition to Alberta Education curriculum.
