Discovery and Picard don't. Picard, especially, wants to fight it. Each of these shows are different by design. They want to be tonally different from each other.

While watching, I remembered Sito was in "Lower Decks" and Locarno was in "The First Duty", but I had forgotten that she was on Nova Squadron with Locarno and Crusher. Since Mariner was friends with Sito at the Academy, it makes sense that she was a friendof Locarno.
Sep 27, 2023 · Sep 28, 2023. #18. At a guess, the captain of T’Lyn’s old ship is her dad. Her complaints about her punishment sound a little more personal than you’d expect from a Vulcan to an unrelated superior officer and her anger must be volcanic to have caused a ship wide disruption.
Feb 24, 2022 · This is all skinned with ‘Star Trek: Lower Decks’. Each number generator is a simulation in a holodeck. Simulations include engineering, a Borg cube, the Genesis planet and a Klingon Ascension hall so far. There is also a light hearted episodic storyline.

I like the characters, the idea of lower level personnel, the humor, and the references but I thought it was stupid in TNG: Lower Decks. The idea of Starfleet keeping their own crews in the dark is really dumb. I believe the term is "need to know.

More humans need to be depicted as a completely unrecognizable mish-mash of different ethnicities, and honestly they should be overrepresented in Starfleet if you presume most Starfleet officers meet their spouses on duty and kids of officers are more likely to go into Starfleet themselves. 1. 2.
