Apr 18, 2024 · Granny smith apples work well in apple pie and apple crumble. It's not actually that sour if you add enough sugar- I just thought it sounded good for the title of this skin. I tried a bit of a different shading style (in terms of colors).

Freeze 5-10lbs of this magic sauce for later in the year. Then in your pie, use slices of Granny Smith for texture and the Fuji apple sauce for the sweetness. Cut out any extra sugar. Add a tiny pinch of salt to the apple sauce to bring out the sweetness of the Fujis.
