In the movie version at the end of movie, Jenny told Forrest that she was suffering from HIV/AIDS virus then she proposes to him and he accepts but Jenny died at the end of the movie. In the next scene, he is seen sad, sitting on the wood by the lakeside alone. His mom sees him, comes next to him and shows empathy that suggests she knows that his heart is broken because of Jenny.

In this YouTube clip, we see at 1:11 minutes that Little Forrest has a knack for ping pong. At 1:18 minutes, both father and son are fishing and again have their heads tilted slightly to the left. Forrest's braces were equipped with droplocks at the knee joints. To bend your knees (in order to be able to sit down) you had to lift the locks with your hands and keep your knees sufficiently bent. When you straightened your legs again the droplocks automatically dropped over the knee joints and blocked the joints.
