Jun 12, 2017 · The converters in the Tascam are extremely good by the way and you can use it as your main sound card but you need the IO box expansion thingy. The Midas desk only has 8 faders to control the daw, you can't use all of them.
Mar 26, 2008 · It gives me 16 pres/lines in, 16 analog inserts, 16 ADs, 16 DAs (most of which I don't use as I either mix ITB or in a different room), and 16 channels to control PT via HUI (level, solo, mute & panning).
I plan on getting the TASCAM DM-4800 and link up high end compressors,preamps,and AD/DA converters to it... using it mostly controller for Cubase on a Windows 7 64bit system... I just need 12 channels really of high end sound. 4 channels for running two stereo guitars.
